A key principle of Penny Parks’ PICT model is flexibility to suit the individual. Every client has different requirements and the PICT session formats are tailored to reflect this.
How long does a PICT session last?
PICT sessions are usually 90 minutes, or 2 hours in length and may be weekly, fortnightly or monthly depending on the pace at which the client wishes to progress. A FREE 30 minute initial consultation provides the opportunity for discussing the best approach.
What is Parks Inner Child Therapy Quick Change?
For people seeking a more intensive approach, there is the option of the PICT ‘Quick Change’ format. Quick Change was devised by Penny Parks as an evolution of the PICT model, in order to help clients achieve resolution in a shorter timeframe. It is defined by several four-hour therapy sessions which may be held over an intensive five-day period, or over any variation of days and weeks until work is complete. Quick Change can be additionally beneficial as each hour of therapy follows naturally from the last, continuing momentum without the usual time lost ‘warming up’ as is often the case in traditional therapies.
Penny Parks originally created the Quick Change model after receiving requests from clients based overseas who could not easily attend regular therapy sessions.
Who can use PICT Quick Change?
Because every person is different, an initial assessment will be held to ascertain the client’s suitability to work within the format; what variations to the model may be needed or if another therapy model may be the best option for the client.
